Matthew 24:34

Jesus said the religious leaders that killed him would see Him return in power & authority

Jesus said He was returning soon, and in judgement

Jesus said his kingdom was NOT coming in a physical way
Luke 17:20-21

Jesus said that resurrected bodies DON’T marry but are more like angels in heaven (so the theory of rebels born to the resurrected saints of the millenium can’t be true)

Jesus said those responsible for piercing Him would see Him
Revelation 1:7a
7 Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him,
Jesus said it would be Judea (TRIBES of the “ges” – Greek word meaning “land” – the land being judged – Judea – the land with tribes) that would see Him return

Jesus said His day of judgement would involve terror on Galilee

You will be brought down to Hades. For if the mighty works done in you had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. 24 But I tell you that it will be more tolerable on the day of judgment for the land of Sodom than for you.”
Jesus said Herod’s temple would be destroyed at His coming
Matthew 24:1-2

Jesus said ALL 70 sevens of Daniel would be fulfilled with the destruction of Herod’s temple

20 “But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies [parallel with abomination of desolation spoken of by prophet Daniel in Matthew 24], then know that its desolation has come near. 21 Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, and let those who are inside the city depart, and let not those who are out in the country enter it, 22 for these are days of vengeance, to fulfill all that is written.
Jesus said “heaven and earth” would pass away before the law would be abolished (are the 613 rules of the law still in effect, or was “heaven & earth” the Jewish term for temple?)
Matthew 5:17-18
17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.18 For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished.
Jesus said the religious leaders of Jerusalem would be destroyed
Matthew 21:38-41
38 But when the tenants saw the son, they said to themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and have his inheritance.’ 39 And they took him and threw him out of the vineyard and killed him. 40 When therefore the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those tenants?” 41 They said to him, “He will put those wretches to a miserable death and let out the vineyard to other tenants who will give him the fruits in their seasons.”
Jesus said the tribulation would be local and flee’able

16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let the one who is on the housetop not go down to take what is in his house, 18 and let the one who is in the field not turn back to take his cloak. 19 And alas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days!20 Pray that your flight may not be in winter or on a Sabbath.
Jesus said the ones taken would be thrown in a pile of dead bodies (not raptured)
Luke 17:34-37
34 I tell you, in that night there will be two in one bed. One will be taken and the other left. 35 There will be two women grinding together. One will be taken and the other left.” 37 And they said to him, “Where, Lord?” He said to them, “Where the corpse is, there the vultures will gather.”
Jesus said the “thief in the night” coming would occur during a great war
Revelation 16:12-15
12 The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, to prepare the way for the kings from the east. 13 And I saw, coming out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs. 14 For they are demonic spirits, performing signs, who go abroad to the kings of the whole world, to assemble them for battle on the great day of God the Almighty. 15 (“Behold, I am coming like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake, keeping his garments on, that he may not go about naked and be seen exposed!”)
At the last supper, Jesus said he wouldn’t drink with disciples again until He did it with them in the kingdom … then he drank with them in the kingdom:

29 I tell you I will not drink again of this fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.”

Jesus said some of his disciples would be alive when He returned (He wasn’t talking about the transfiguration, which was only SIX DAYS later after NOBODY had died, and NOT with His angels, and NOT in judgment)
Matthew 16:27-28
27 For the Son of Man is going to come with his angels in the glory of his Father, and then he will repay each person according to what he has done. 28 Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.”
