Matthew 10:23
When they persecute you in one town, flee to the next, for truly, I say to you, you will not have gone through all the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.
Mark 9:1
And he said to them, “Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God after it has come with power.”
Matthew 24:34
Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.
John 21:20-22
Peter turned and saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following them, the one who also had leaned back against him during the supper and had said, “Lord, who is it that is going to betray you?” 21 When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus, “Lord, what about this man?” 22 Jesus said to him, “If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you? You follow me!”

Target (Galilee, Jerusalem, Temple, Religious Leaders)
——
Matthew 11:21 (Galilee)
“Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. 22 But I tell you, it will be more bearable on the day of judgment for Tyre and Sidon than for you. 23 And you, Capernaum, will you be exalted to heaven? You will be brought down to Hades.
Matthew 21 (Jerusalem)
37 Finally he sent his son to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’ 38 But when the tenants saw the son, they said to themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and have his inheritance.’ 39 And they took him and threw him out of the vineyard and killed him. 40 When therefore the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those tenants?” 41 They said to him, “He will put those wretches to a miserable death and let out the vineyard to other tenants who will give him the fruits in their seasons.”
^^^notice also here that the Abrahamic promises find their fulfillment in the church. Jesus said it, not me. Paul and Peter also say it. And Israel is invited back in! Through salvation! Abraham is the father of many nations, not one (hello!) His descendants are as numerous as the sand of the sea (hello!) and shine like the stars in heaven (hello!). They are made of living stones (hello!) that Jesus makes descendants of Abraham when He gives them a new name (hello!)
Matthew 24 (Temple)
1 Jesus left the temple and was going away, when his disciples came to point out to him the buildings of the temple. 2 But he answered them, “You see all these, do you not? Truly, I say to you, there will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down.”
Matthew 15 (Pharisees)
12 Then the disciples came and said to him, “Do you know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this saying?”13 He answered, “Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be rooted up.

Typologoy & Trajectory (thief from the east)
——
Matthew 24
27 For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
Matthew 24:
43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what part of the night the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and would not have let his house be broken into.
Luke 12:
39 But know this, that if the master of the house had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have left his house to be broken into.
Revelation 3
3 Remember, then, what you received and heard. Keep it, and repent. If you will not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come against you.
Revelation 16:
12 The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, to prepare the way for the kings from the east. 13 And I saw, coming out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs. 14 For they are demonic spirits, performing signs, who go abroad to the kings of the whole world, to assemble them for battle on the great day of God the Almighty. 15 (“Behold, I am coming like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake, keeping his garments on, that he may not go about naked and be seen exposed!”)16 And they assembled them at the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon.
Did all that happen? Yes!!! From the spring of AD 67 to the fall of AD 70 ! 40 years (that’s an important number) after Jesus’ ascension:
- [x] Galilee, Jerusalem, and the temple all suffered devastation within the timeframe Jesus predicted. It happened in the generation He said it would, and it happened before all the disciples died, like He said it would.
- [x] Nero sent Vespasian & Titus and company from Rome (beast of the sea) to war, who marched through Galilee in an absolute terror of bloodshed before finishing off Jerusalem 1,260 days (3.5 years / 42 months) later
- [x] Armies came from the east and crossed the Euphrates in the Roman Judean war to finish off the temple and city like a thief in the night. The Ark of the Covenant was taken to heaven and Rome stole the temple furniture. The DEAD were taken out of Hades, some to everlasting righteousness, some to everlasting contempt, and Hades was destroyed. The living were CHANGED.
The kingdom cut from no human hand was launched during the 4th empire of iron (Rome) and potter’s clay (Judea) JUST LIKE Daniel said it would be.
The power of the holy people was shattered JUST LIKE Daniel said it would be.
The city and sanctuary were destroyed with war JUST LIKE Daniel said it would be.
“All things written” were fulfilled with the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple (which the Jews called heaven [Holy of Holies] and earth [outer courts], just like Jesus said, while He was quoting Daniel.
