There is No PRE-Trib Rapture, Sorry, but Scripture …

There is no PRE-trib rapture, sorry but:

——–

If one wants to ignore both Jesus’ words on the timing thereof and the historical accounts of Josephus, Tacitus, and others that detail the once prophetic 4th kingdom’s Roman/ Jewish War that involved 1260 days of military suppression and occupation of the Jews while they fought each other, suffered from famine and inflation, disease and pestilence, that finally culminated in Titus’s Legion XV who had Apollo as their god and a coalition of forces from surrounding nations, including 10 provincial rulers of Judea deputized for a time per Revelation to help lay Jerusalem waste in perfect harmony with multiple prophetic texts of both the old and New Testament … that’s your call … whatever floats your boat.

However, if you are a futurist, I don’t see ANY way, outside of a desire to feel “safe,” you can separate your rapture from the 7th trumpet, which is past the mid-point of the 7-year tribulation. Anytime someone tells you the rapture occurs before the tribulation, ask for the scriptural proof! Do NOT take their words as truth. Don’t take mine either. Go study and test.

So where does SCRIPTURE say the “rapture,” or “mystery of God” takes place? Don’t listen to me tell you. Go read it for yourself. Or read it here:

1 Corinthians 15:51-58
51 Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, AT THE LAST TRUMPET. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.

Revelation 10:5-7
5 And the angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised his right hand to heaven 6 and swore by him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and what is in it, the earth and what is in it, and the sea and what is in it, that there would be no more delay, 7 but that in the days of the TRUMPET CALL TO BE SOUNDED BY THE SEVENTH ANGEL, the mystery of God would be fulfilled, just as he announced to his servants the prophets.

Revelation 11:15-19
15 Then the SEVENTH ANGEL BLEW HIS TRUMPET, and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he shall reign forever and ever.” 16 And the twenty-four elders who sit on their thrones before God fell on their faces and worshiped God, 17 saying,

“We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty,
who is and who was,
for you have taken your great power
and begun to reign.
18 The nations raged,
but your wrath came,
and the time for the dead to be judged,
and for rewarding your servants, the prophets and saints,
and those who fear your name,
both small and great,
and for destroying the destroyers of the earth.”
19 Then God’s temple in heaven was opened, and the ark of his covenant was seen within his temple. There were flashes of lightning, rumblings,[c] peals of thunder, an earthquake, and heavy hail.

Bonus Note: if you noticed, there’s the reason (above) that no one will ever find the real Ark of the Covenant. It was taken to heaven at the last trumpet, the same time the dead left Hades for their eternal states and that place was destroyed. Indeed, the martyred saints (who died after Christ’s death and participated in the 1st resurrection by skipping Hades because Christ’s work was done) “judged the 12 tribes of Israel” along with Christ, just as scripture said they would. (You may say, but Tom, physical bodies must float upward! To that I say, go study Jesus’ response to the Sadducees who tried to trap Him with the same. When we join our immortal, invisible God, and Jesus who joined Him, we will live and function in His dimension, not ours. You may add, but what about the 2 women grinding at the mill, and one is “taken?” Go read it again in Luke. The taken one is slaughtered and thrown in a pile of dead bodies)

So your bad news is: you’ve got 7 seals and 6 trumpets to endure if you’re a futurist. The good news is, you don’t have to be a futurist. Keep reading both history and prophecy and in time, you probably won’t be. And that’s not a bad thing! Never fear learning, for either you change and get closer to the truth, or you cement your current position as truth. Either is a positive. And I’d challenge you to place inspired scripture above all humans, theories, traditions, ideas, imaginations, and inventions. Put the commentaries down. Pick the Bible up.
